About us
1. The mtDNA Haplogroup for Elizabeth (Walker) Warren and her matrilineal descendants has been revealed. FTDNA has assigned this family to the H1j haplogroup with the following "extra" mutations: A13911G and T14025C. YFull has further refined the haplogroup (including both of these extra mutations) to H1j10a
2. We currently have nine members who are confirmed to matrilineally descend from Elizabeth (Walker) Warren. These individuls descend from three of the daughters of Elizabeth: Sarah, Anna and Mary.

3) The H1j10* haplogroup has been found only in Spanish descendants. Given this current status of Elizabeth (Walker) Warren's parent mtDNA haplogroup, it is possible where Elizabeth MAY have been a matrilineal descendant of Eleanor of Castille, the first wife of King Edward I of England. As such another goal of the project is to pursue whether any matrilineal descendants of Eleanor of Castille may still be living.
