All researchers (both male and female) interested in Eastman genealogy are encouraged to join the project, which is primarily focused on discovering the genetic tree for direct paternal line descendants of the immigrant Roger Eastman, who was born in England ~1610. Eastman surnamed males (and variants) are especially encouraged to join and order a Y-chromosome test (Y37, Y111, or Big Y-700) if they haven't already done so. ALL Eastman and listed surname variant descendants (both male and female) are encouraged to order Family Tree DNA's Family Finder test (if they haven't already done an autosomal DNA test), or transfer their autosomal results in from other test sites, e.g., Ancestry, MyHeritage or 23andMe.
