- Project launched on March 3rd, 2006.
- As of January 2009 we have 44 members and are looking for more to participate.
- As of January 2009 we have organized the Dowells into 10 genetic groups, and the Dewells into 2 genetic groups.
- Of the Dowell groups, the three largest groups are from VA and MD.
- We have identified 2 Dowell groups from North Carolina.
- We have identified 3 Dowell groups from England.
