About us
The aim of the Dowding Project is to use Y-DNA testing to see if all Dowdings (and perhaps Dowdens) living today, are from the same ancient Dowding family or families.
We are looking for male Dowdings and Dowdens to join the project and take a Y-DNA test.
We also gladly accept those of either sex who have taken or would be interested in the Family Finder autosomal (atDNA) test or who have tested with other companies and can transfer their DNA autosomal results to Family Tree DNA. The atDNA tests may show how people are or maybe connected to the known male lines we discover from Y-DNA.
