My primary interest is the Uí Maine Galway lineage of O'Donoghues, secondarily the full south half of Ireland, with a genuine encompassing interest in this surname and its variants in the entirety of Ireland, Scotland,
and their whole diaspora all over the world. I co-administer the FTDNA Tribes of Uí Maine geographic project; formed summer 2024, centered on east County Galway and south Roscommon, as well as multiple surname
projects.
Fifteen members with Y test results, some dating back to 2003, have not joined the primary O'Donoghue Society project but are only represented here, and that legacy status is largely why this secondary project still exists.
