The Volga German Diesers originated from Johann Peter Dieser (13 Jun 1744), who traveled from Seligenstadt, Germany to Leichtling, Russia in the 1760's. There is some loose evidence that suggests the spelling of the last name was Disser in Germany, and transposed to Dieser upon arrival in Germany. This has not been proven or disproven. This project has been set up to help show the relationships between the various branches of the Dieser and Disser families.
