yDNA testing is the primary tool for linking our male/surname lineage. The members that have so far joined have demonstrated that there is quite a fundamental difference between the Dade-Deeds and other Deeds so even a basic yDNA test should help to indicate (though not confirm) which broad group you belong to. It may also be possible to use Family Finder to suggest a link if there is a relationship to an existing member.

I recommend you wait for the special offers and will try to mail out when these are available. Also, please post or link to your own 'paper' research or family trees where possible.

Ultimately Big-Y testing will help firm up our haplogroups, distinct lines and allow us to potentially uncover unique y chromosome mutations.
