Who can join: Anyone who has a Darley surname (variously spelled) relate to one another worldwide - genetically and genealogically who origins are believed from one of the European Continent countries listed in the following web site.

Project Member Requirements: Darley DNA Project compares the unique Y-Chromosome (Y-STR) segments that fathers pass intact to their sons, which remain stable from generation to generation, with only minor, infrequent mutational changes.
Males must take at least a Y-DNA12 test to enter this group surname project, which is currently priced at $59.00 per test at www.familytreedna.com
The Y-DNA37 is the recommended test for this project, confirming a genealogical relationship with another male within the past 8 generations. The Y-DNA37 also provides your haplogroup type, genealogically relevant matches and recent ancestral origins, currently priced at $149.00.
As an example, my male family member research participants (including myself) have purchased following tests: Y-DNA67 + mtFullSequence + Family Finder
Undecided at this time, purchase at least the Y-DNA12 test and upgrade at a later date, but remember, each upgrade will cost more “overall” than using one single purchase.
Females may participate by convincing a Darley-Surname male relative (grandfather, father, brother, uncle, cousin or nephew) to provide the requisite DNA as a representative of her line.
