He was born in 1646 and died approx. 1700 in Wicomico, Northumberland County, Virginia. Passenger lists show a Wm. Coppage arriving 1667 in Virginia. There is a Edward Coppedge who immigrated to Maryland earlier than 1655 and believed to also be of this family line. Possibly a great uncle to William.
