As with most surname projects, the aim of this project is to connect the genetic lines of those bearing the surname CLEVELAND or variant spelling.
This is achieved via testing and comparing the Y chromosome which only males carry. 
Therefore it stands to reason that Y111 is the best STR (Short Tandem Repeats) test to take and the BigY500 is the best SNP test to take.
