The second and third edition of the Lithuanian chronicles (legendary part) suggests that Giedraitis (Giedroyc), Alšėniškis (Holszanski) and Svirskis (Swirski) families originate from Dausprungas (Dowsprunk) - the legendary ruler of Deltuva region in Lithuania from the Centaur coat of arms family, who, together with another legendary personage Palemonas, have sailed to and settled in Lithuania with the few hundred persons some time around the 1-10th century AD. Using Y-DNA technics we aim to discover to what extend relavent parts of the second and third edition of the Lithuanian chronicles are correct or precisely false.
