The Cenel Eoghain (Cenél Eógain) or Kinel-Owen ("Kindred of Owen") are a branch of the Northern Uí Néill and descend from Eógan mac Néill d c465, son of Niall Noigialloach (Niall of the Nine Hostages). The project is focused on kits that have completed SNP or Big Y tests that confirm association with haplogroup R-S588 and kits that have completed STR testing to 111 markers with Y DNA matches to other Cenel Eoghain kits.
