This project is intended to supplement conventional genealogical research to identify families who share a common male ancestor. By comparing the y chromosome, common genetic lines will emerge. As more samples are tested, theories and old family tales may be proven or disproven. Also, as participants increase, locations for further research on specific lines will become evident. Eventually, research results may lead to Scotland, Ireland, or other European countries. Males with all spelling variations of the Carmack surname, are invited to participate.
