Carl-Johan Swaerdenheim of the the Scandinavian Y-DNA Project indicated that Jerry's and Marion's results show that Christiern Brunberg's direct male ancestors were "typical/aboriginal Old Norse living in western Scandinavia", meaning that our direct male ancestors, 1,200 to 1,400 years ago, were Vikings.

Efforts are also underway to locate direct male descendants to participate in the Brimberry DNA project on three other branches of the Brimberry family tree: (1) Isaac Brimberry/Mary Beethe; and (2) John Brimberry/Agnes Beethe. Both of these male lines are nearly extinct, adding urgency to our efforts.
