I’ll be creating project group that won’t just be y-dna or mtdna. But also in-law allied families of YDNA Braswell/Bracewell/Norton from Isle of Wight, Virginia in association with Rev Robert Braswell. It will refer to this group and other project groups that are all tied. Welcome anyone to participate. Hopefully, we will gather all the lost descendants with different surnames the sources they need.
My closest ancestor is my 3rd Great-Grandmother, Mary Jane Brazell, born in South Carolina 1833/34 and died in Kingsland, Camden County, Georgia in 1902. Her father was Daniel Brazell and his father was, I believe, James. I have read the book, The Ancestry of David Bracewell, and believe I descend from Rev. Robert Bracewell who immigrated to Virginia from England. Does anyone out there in the void have this line? I have hit a brick wall with James.
