The Project Administrators - Who are we?
The administrators of the BLICK Surname Project descend from two different BLICK lines:
Transferring your autosomal DNA (atDNA) to FTDNA
If you have DNA tested at another testing company such as Ancestry, My Heritage or 23andMe - you can transfer your autosomal DNA (atDNA) to FTDNA.
Firstly, you need to download your DNA raw data from the testing company.
Next, upload your raw data file to FTDNA. The instructions to upload can be found here.
If you have any problems uploading your DNA, please contact the Project Administrators.
Adding earliest known ancestors
The administrators of the BLICK Surname Project descend from two different BLICK lines:
- Davina is a descendant of Ann BLICK and Thomas HARMAN.
- Carlina descends from Hannah BLICK and William MILLS.
Transferring your autosomal DNA (atDNA) to FTDNA
If you have DNA tested at another testing company such as Ancestry, My Heritage or 23andMe - you can transfer your autosomal DNA (atDNA) to FTDNA.
Firstly, you need to download your DNA raw data from the testing company.
Next, upload your raw data file to FTDNA. The instructions to upload can be found here.

Adding earliest known ancestors
- Please fill out your earliest known direct-line maternal and paternal ancestors and their Country of Origin
- To find this page, go to the Account Settings menu (found in the dropdown menu next to your name), GENEALOGY tab, Earliest Known Ancestors tab
