Note:  Some Biby/Bybee researchers believe that they are descended from the William Bibby line that came to America on the ship Swan in 1621 and lived on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, (Accomack/Northampton Counties).  The DNA of the Bibby male below does not match the DNA of several Group I Bibee, Bibey, Biby, and Bybee males who descend from Thomas Bybe of Goochland County, Virginia who was born say 1689 in York Co, VA – died 1729/30 in Goochland Co, VA.  The males in Group I of the Biby Project are in Haplogroup I, while the males below are in Haplogroup R.  However, this Project needs more Bibby males who have a verified ancestry to William Bibby to test for the Project to be certain of the genetic signature for the William Bibby line and to avoid confusion with the Biby/Bybee Project males.  Two Bibbee males have now tested and match a Bibby male.  It has not yet been determined how the Bibby and Bibbee males are related.
