We want to identify ancestors and descendants of Shmuel Barlaz and his wife Chaya Hinde (?Schechel). Shmuel may have been born in Dubno. We hope to find if Shmuel's father Yosef was related to the Barlas families. Shmuel's children were born in Shepetivka, Khmelnytsky, (currently)Ukraine. The administrator is a descendant of Elihu Barlaz and Dora (Beila Dvosha) Gwertzman. Dora is a descendant of the Gwertzman and Kossowsky families of Brest-Litovsk (Brest, Brest, Belarus). We believe that the Barlaz family is also cousins to these families.
