The purpose of the Geosits Group Project is to two fold. First, we want to test the y-DNA of a significant sample of eligible male candidates from Hungary, and then establish a genetic y-DNA footprint of our Barilovits ancestors. (Note that this part of the project has been successfully completed.) The second purpose of this research is to determine if the Barilovits in Hungary are directly related to the Barilovic families in Croatia and if so, to determine approximately how many years have separated the two family lines. (This part of the project is ongoing).
