A project for people who have ancestors with any variation of the surname Bach or Back whose roots are believed to be in Germany to Virginia then Eastern Kentucky. We know the roots of these names are usually in Germany, but can also be from other countries such as Austria. DNA testing is helping a lot of families find their ethnic roots. As the database grows, there are more success stories. Family Tree DNA has set up their system to not allow the acceptance of members who have not tested Y, Family Finder, or mtDNA.
