About us
The Bardizag project has several goals:
- Help genealogists trace their recent ancestry as it relates to Bardizag. For the Armenian population of Bardizag, many family histories remain buried in the rubble of wars, genocide and mass migration. DNA testing, especially tools such as Family Finder are a great way to find long-lost relatives. The project participants are encouraged to list any known information that can help facilitate this process such as (name, date/place of birth/death, etc..) about their earliest known Bardizag ancestors.
- Help uncover migration patterns to/from Bardizag in its formative years of 1580s - 1700.
