We are a large family group emanating from the Northern Spanish town of Ayllón in the old province of Castile-Leon, now Segovia. After the Spanish Exile of 1492, our family's hometown became Salonika but we are now spread around the world in over 25 countries with over 20 different derivations of our ancestral surname of Ayllón. After all these years we have reconnected, our first family conference taking place in Paris 1992, then Sydney 2009, then Ayllón 2014, followed by Thessaloniki 2019, with the next one to be in Amsterdam in May 2024. We have undertaken substantial family research by a Spanish historian and seek to gain more background historical information via this DNA project.
