The goal was to prove definitively the native or Amerindian maternal progenitor of some Acadian lines. A few were already well-known from parish records, usually with the mother signified by "sauvagesse" or other similar term. We hope to have a preponderance of evidence proving that some other Acadian genealogies stem from an earliest mother who was also "first nation" or American Indian.
