The project was begun on July 2, 2008. The administrator had ordered his DNA test kit on that day. The first results should be made available by the beginning of August, 2008.
July 10: Test kit arrived and DNA samples collected, per instructions.
July 11: DNA test kit returned to mail.
July 21: Via email, Family Tree DNA acknowledges receipt of DNA sample and notes that it is pending shipment to their lab.
August 14: DNA has been processed and results are being confirmed, as is standard procedure.
September 15: Test results returned. 12 exact matches. Results have also been submitted to ancestry.com's DNA project. (done by author without any expense from ancestry.com)
