The Slaughter Surname Project is open to any male Slaughter descendant of all Slaughter families. If you have a surname that is spelled differently, i.e. Slater, Slawter, etc., which you believe to be linked to a Slaughter family, you are welcome to participate. Our objective is to determine which, if any, early Slaughter immigrants were descended from a common ancestor. Participants include descendants of John Slaughter who married Frances Brothers in New Kent Co. VA in 1751, and of Robert Slaughter b ca 1671 in England or VA, married Frances Jones ca 1700.
