Test results
By the end of 2008, the results of YDNA tests for five male Sadgroves had been reported. None of these males was known to be related prior to the tests although it was known that one had ancestors born in the Thames Valley. The test results, however, indicate that three of the males shared a common ancestor who was surnamed Sadgrove and who may have lived in the Thames Valley. For one other male, the number of mutations suggested that the probability of having an ancestor in common with the above three males was low or marginal. The fifth male was definitely not related to any of the other four.
