Participants must have ancestors from the Northern Neck of Virginia. For this project the Northern Neck includes Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond, Westmoreland, King George, Stafford, Essex and Middlesex counties in Virginia. This project is intended to be focused on using Family Finder DNA results to confirm (or refute) ancestral lines in the Northern Neck. The Y-DNA and mtDNA results will be displayed, and grouped, on the webpage, and used as appropriate. Participants are encouraged to also subscribe to the VA-Northern-Neck@rootsweb.com email list, where NN ancestries are discussed; and to become an Editor and post ancestors on the Northern Neck of Virginia Families Tree on Ancestry (free to use when invited)
