The Stubbs(Motz) Family Project (Started Dec 2006) welcomes all who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and DNA testing. This project is intended for those whose ancestry is from the Eastern United States (primarily decedents of John Stubbs of Cappahosic, Gloucester Co., Virginia) and Europe. This project will identify others who are related, determine a location for further research, and validate existing research. Create a database of as many Motz/Stubbs males as possible, in the hope of finding matches among the samples. This should be particularly helpful for those who desire to trace their ancestry back to Europe and do not know where to start. This project is open to both Y-DNA paternal lines and mt-DNA maternal lines. All variant spellings are welcome. If your Surname is missing and should be included, we'll be glad to add it.
