02/01/2016 Now we tested four people with the last name Edelstein.
One has haplogroup Q1b (Q-Y2750), three others - E1b1b1 (with the values of certain STR-markers shows that the relationship is very distant).
So while we can conclude that among Edelstein are many namesakes. But, over time, may be joined by relatives.
The problem is that many direct male lines have stopped, and many in Russia, the U.S. and Israel have changed surnames.
