This project has been set-up to identify Durrett family lines in Virginia and to find out where our ancestors migrated to once they left France. Please consider the following before ordering your DNA Kit. 1. Y-DNA test are for Males with SURNAME or LAST NAME Durrett. Father’s pass their Y- chromosome to their son. OR 2. Mt-DNA is for females ONLY - This test looks at your maternal lines only on your Mother's side of the family the surname Durrett. Your maternal line must have the surname Durrett. OR 3.
