Are all a genetic distance of "1" for 37 markers to the donor for the CARON BRANNON/BRENHAM/BRANHAM whose documentation was satisfactory to the DAR. William Brantly BRANNON 1814 SC,>GA>FL. is a genetic distance of "3" at 37 markers but continues that distance at 67 markers. All of his varying markers are in the faster mutating red alles. to The Thomas Brannon VA-d.1804 Johnston Co, NC., his son John BRANNON born abt 1795 in Johnston County,NC who died aft 1860 whose line migrated to GA., is a perfect match to the group for the 12 markers they have completed.
Three of the lines for this group have upgraded to "67" markers in hopes of better understanding their relationships.

Meath Ireland is a genetic distance of "2" for several of the group and looking forward to other members upgrading to 25 to see if the relationship continues. The line of Benjamin BRANEM b.7-10-1851 Ohio, d.aft.1880 OHIO, who had 4 sons who are listed in records under at least 4 different spellings. Presently he is a genetic distance of "2" to three members Alexander Holt BRANNON 1846 Columbus, GA who migrated to Eufaula, AL.. A descendant of Henry BRANNAN b.1783 SC-d.Lauderdale, MS married Unity Loper Nov. 10, 1808 in SC is a genetic distance of "1" for those first 12 markers but at 37 markers is not related to Alexander but possibly to Michael. Sadly at 37 markers DNA has proved that the Anderson R. BRANNON 11-1824 GA., line formerly of this group is not related and is still searching for a match.

James Edward BRANUM 1877 MO.>AR line has UPGRADED to 25 markers, and is a perfect match to Gabriel BRANHAM-Yorkshire, England through son Richard's line for those 25 of the 37 markers, and a genetic distance of "1" to the recently upgraded John BRANHAM/BRANNON b.1810NC or TN-d.6-1881 TN, Andrew BRANAM 1847AL>TN, and Daniel Tharp lines and the that the Gabriel Branham line has completed,at 37 markers Gabriel is a genetic distance of "2" to Andrew BRANHAM/BRANAM 1847, AL and Daniel THARP 1789 VA. He is a genetic distance of "3" to Benjamin BRANHAM/BRANAM. In the OLIVE GREEN GROUP: The James BRANNAN b.1802, Ulster, Ire.- d.1836 Ohio is awaiting results of a SNP-R-1b test. He left Londonderry, Ireland aboard an American ship, The Robert Fulton. He arrived in New York July 24,1826. He was one of 137 passengers. He was 24 years old. He made his way to Ohio and married Catherine Hauenstein in1830. Her family was from Switzerland and Germany. They had a girl and a boy. James died in Stark County, Ohio in 1836. He was 34 years old. The other member of the group being the William A. BRANNON m. Mary Payne line, they share a genetic distance of "1" for 25 markers.


The YELLOW GROUP: Are descendants of James L. BRANUM 1826 TN- 1892 Mo.and William BRANUM b. 1804 NC-d.MO that they are a PERFECT MATCH for all 37 Markers. They have since been contacted by another cousin living in England, who contacted the project after finding her line represented here.

The Orange Group: Is made up of ISAIAH BRANUM b.1809 AL- d.11-1858 Coffeeville, Miss. a genetic distance of "1" to Simon Brennan, Monoghan, Ire. for the first 12 markers Simon has completed.
