The McCombs-McComb Surname Project is a Y Chromosome DNA project open to men with the surname McCombs, McComb, or any reasonable spelling variation.
Females do not carry their father's Y-DNA therefore women who would like to research their direct paternal line (father’s father’s father and so on) using DNA may participate by having a male relative with this surname take a Y-DNA test as the representative of their family line.
