The project was established in 2004 to enable the various lines of Clarkson, Claxton and Clarkston descendents to determine whether or not they share a common ancestor. Several lines have been identified and we are actively seeking European Claxtons, Clarksons and similar suranmes to test.

Initally the project was focused on Y-line DNA only, but more recently with the advent of the Family Finder test, we welcome all Claxton/Clarkson descendants and will group them according to ancestral line.

Very few, if any, group e-mails will be sent through the project.
