J-M172 

Haplogroup J-M172 isfound at highest frequencies in the northern Middle East, west of the ZagrosMountains in Iran, to the Mediterranean Sea. It later spread throughout centralAsia and south into India. J-M172 is tightly associated with the expansion ofagriculture, which began about 10,000 years ago. As with other populations withMediterranean ancestry, this lineage is found at substantial frequencies withinJewish populations.

Haplogroup R-M269 is the dominant lineage in all of WesternEurope today. It is found in low frequencies in Turkey and the northern FertileCrescent, while its highest frequencies are in Western Europe.

R-U106 

Haplogroup R-U106 isthe descendant of the major R-P25 (aka R-M343) lineage and is found fromEastern Europe to its highest frequency in Central Europe and the BritishIsles.
