This group project is intended for users who with surnames Workman, Wortman, Wortmann, Woertmann, and similar, although others are welcome if they suspect their lineage comes from these family groups. There is a considerable lack of clarity in tracing family lines for many with these surnames especially at certain points in history. It is our hope that shared results can help to identify certain migrations and branches within these families by identifying the mutations associated with those splits.
