The Male Wimberley DNA Project was initiated in 2006 as a useful tool to use in conjunction with other written documentation in genealogy research to help identify and define different Wimberley/ly-Lines and validate existing Wimberley/ly family history. Because of its presence on the Internet it can gather information about the various Wimberley/ly families throughout the world.
