The project's primary focus is to recruit individuals with male or female Wilson ancestry who lived in Eastern Ohio in the early to mid 1800s especially those who emigrated from Pennsylvania, Ireland, or Scotland. The project is open to individuals who have taken Family Finder (male or female) and/or Y-DNA tests (males only). Of particular interest are those Wilson families who lived in the following Eastern Ohio counties: Athens, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Gallia, Guernsey, Harrison, Hocking, Holmes, Jackson, Lawrence, Jefferson, Knox, Licking, Mahoning, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Stark, Tuscarawas, Vinton, Wayne, and Washington
