This group has been established to help trace the lineage of the American and Canadian GRIMSHAWS who may have descended from William Grimshaw, a fifer in Hazen's Regiment during the American Revolution. William, born about 1765, is thought to have come to the US from either Canada or England as a young boy. All descendants of Zephaniah and George Grimshaw, probable sons of William, are encouraged to join this group, as well as any English Grimshaws who might possibly be related to William.
