We hope to discover, through the comparison of yDNA patterns, how descendants of Willett families are --or are not-- related to one another. Used in concert with thorough genealogical research, yDNA matching can resolve ancestral puzzles which have persisted for generations. For this purpose, a 37-marker yDNA test is recommended. The sample must be supplied (simply and painlessly) by a male descendant of the Willett in question. In families with no recent male descendants, known male cousins and uncles and their males descendants can supply test samples.
