The Project welcomes individuals who have West Virginia lineages on their their own direct paternal (yDNA) or maternal (mtDNA) line of descent or Genomic (Family Finder Tests).
The project, originally called the West_Virginia DNA Project was established in July 2010 by Paul Pettit to look at the potential interrelationships of West Virginia's family lines. As yDNA results have been returned it has become clear that there are many common connections between families and individuals with origins from West Virginia.
How to join:
