This project was started in December 2023 as a spinoff of the Corson surname project by a handful of descendants of Hendrick Vroom (1683-1769), son of Hendrick Corssen Vroom (1653-1690).

The Corson project determined there is a paternal line disconnect between Cornelis Corssen (1645-1692) and his nephew Hendrick Vroom (1683-1769).

Thanks to the Boyd surname project it was determined that the Hendrick Vroom (1683-1769) male line crossed a Boyd line at some time in the past.
