The Vinson Project is entirely open for joining any male kit to, where the male DNA sample donor to the kit is a patrilineal descendant of an ancestor who had his name at least sometimes spelled Vinson in the records, or a patrilineal ancestor with a surname of a similar spelling (ANY variant spelling!, we’re not picky!). OR a patrilineal ancestor with a close STR or SNP match to a Vinson or similar spelling, but who has a different surname, for whatever reason.
