The goal of this Surname Project is to identify genetic families of Via, Viar, Viars, Vier, Viers, Vars, Vea, Vice, Biars, LaVia, DeVia. There is a long-standing tradition that almost all Vias are descended from one or two related immigrant ancestors, but some of the DNA evidence shows otherwise.
It doesn't matter if you are just starting on your family tree or have been working on it for years. The DNA data will help each and every one of us at the same time.
