The purpose of this study is to find extended family members of Jacob Van Poole, who married Amy Cozine in Cecil County, MD, in 1726, and had three sons subsequently baptized there. It is known that some of their descendents moved to Rowan County, NC, and adopted the surnames Poole and Pool. Nothing is known about the ancestry of Jacob Van Poole, and it is hoped that a DNA study will also locate his family of origin.
