To confirm or negate the belief that our two Van Note family lines are related. Both families have reached a dead-end in New Jersey. Consequently, we would welcome any Van Note/Vannote/Van Nort/Vannort/Van Oate/Vanoate/Van Ote/Vanote/Van Noate/Vannoate/Van Noort/Vannoort/Van Noordt/Vannoordt male to participate. It is our thought that ALL are descended from one progenitor who arrived in this country in 1661 from the Netherlands. Other members of his descendents relocated from New Jersey to Virginia, maintaining the Van Nort/Vannort spelling. They, too, are encouraged to participate.
