Welcome to the Uí Fidhgeinte project, launched in 2015. Were the Uí Fidhgeinte kin of the Eóganachta? That is what we seek to confirm.

The following are criteria for enrollment:

• Tested R-CTS4466 positive.
• Tested for A1135 and Z16259 levels or intend to do so. If you have done the big Y test and are CTS4466+ but these markers don't show up in your results, check with the project administrator.
• Carry an Uí Fidgenti surname (Donovan, Collins, Flannery, others to be confirmed).
• Ability to demonstrate a paternal lineage back to the province of Munster (which includes Limerick and Cork) is a plus.

This could be a very exciting genetic / historical quest, as we have a chance to prove ancient texts!
