By joining the group you agree to provide the project with 3 things. 1) The surname of the person being tested. 2) The name, date and place of birth of the oldest researched male ancestor of your male patrilineal line and the oldest researched female ancestor of your matrilineal line. 3) Permission to publish the DNA results and the names, dates and places of birth of the oldest known patrilineal or matrilineal ancestor. The purpose of this project is to learn more about how Tullises worldwide are related by studying genetics. Spelling variations, such as Tullos and Tulles, are certainly included as well. Some of the questions that we hope to answer are the following: (1) Do the descendants of Moses Tullis and William Tullis of New Jersey share a common male ancestor? (2) Do the descendants of Claudius/Cloud Tullos of Virginia and Moses or William Tullis of New Jersey share a common male ancestor? (3) Do the descendants of either Claudius Tullos or Moses Tullis or William Tullis share a common male ancestor with someone who traces their line to Scotland?
