1. The Tudor-Tedder yDNA Surname Group is designed to test males (who have the male "y" chromosome) with the surname Tudor, Tedder or some close variant spelling.
( Females are welcome to coordinate the testing of their Tudor/Tedder male relatives )
2. The primary goal is to match or group US and UK males with their Tudor/Tedder male relatives based upon their yDNA haplotype test results. Contact the Administrator (switzerjr@gmail.com) for permission to join the group and then first supply your direct line of Tudor/Tedder ancestry to the admin for his notes.
3. NOTE: There must be no known adoptions into this Tudor/Tedder surname family or “postmen” who destroy the Tudor/Tedder bloodline and thus the accuracy of the yDNA test results.
4. While having some genealogical tie to the Tudor family is certainly interesting, we focus only upon the actual genetic test results of the "y" chromosome test because of its great reliability (assuming no non-paternal events as stated in #3 above.
