As of 18 Oct 2024 I, Kent Babcock, assumed the helm for the Treble surname project.  My connection to descendants of the Treble surname is in the rather distant past — quite likely prior to genealogical times but most definitely within historical times — and was revealed through Y-DNA findings.  Not being versed in Treble genealogy, I will be dependent on other members of this project on that score.  Subsequently I am not changing the Background and Goals as currently stated for now — possibly making some additions in these early days but not altering what had already been written.  As research, both genealogical and genetic, reveals new findings, we may perform some revisions to the Background and Goals in the future.

I think my level of genetic knowledge is sufficient to handle that arena of this project.  I am also the administrator for the Babcock-Badcock surname project and the co-administrator of the Kincaid surname project where I perform all the subgrouping of members in both projects.
