Many Tow/Towe lines seem to originate in the southern U.S., specifically North Carolina. Often those with this surname are located geographically close to one another. Determining relationships between these lines is problematic due to similar names within each generation.  Right now (2015), there appears to be two distinct groups of participants...those who tie back along a male Tow/Towe surname and a group that goes back to a male Wood ancestor who had children by Mary Polly Tow/Tough.
